Strange Silk

I've always loved the idea of contrasting what is usually considered ugly and disgusting with what's considered beautiful, so I wanted to do my own take on it. I absolutely hate spiders (or any insect) so it was interesting and challenging to present one as an ornament.

I tried some different techniques with this one, layering pencil over Copics and colored pencil over ink - and I'm quite pleased with the result ♥
